With the panic surrounding the Caseous lymphadenitis bacteria, many ranchers have turned to a vaccine designed for sheep to prevent the disease from entering their herd. According to Randall J Berrier's article, this vaccine was not approved for goats because it produces negative reactions like swelling of the injection site and lameness for up to 30 days after vaccination.
Instead of pumping the animals full of medications that aren't made for them, we suggest culling the goats that are infected and leaving the rest up to their natural immune systems. While our method isn't scientifically tested to work on CL, it seems to have turned out pretty well so far.
I think this vaccine should be applied only in case of actual threat of contamination
